Our Birmingham schools workshops and showcase in celebration of LGBT History Month 2014 will take place in the Children’s library on 26th February. The event is organised by Birmingham City Council in partnership with the Birmingham library. We would love for your school to be involved in our 2014 activities. 
 
This year LGBT History Month celebrate ‘MUSIC’ http://lgbthistorymonth.org.uk/
Our day will consist of:
  • Primary school workshop 9.30am-12noon for year 5 and 6 lead by Assistant Headteacher Andrew Moffat using his ‘CHIPS’ challenging homophobia in Primary Schools resource http://www.ellybarnes.com/primary/ , followed by reading groups and a tour of the new library. There are 30 places available. Please contact elly@ellybarnes to book places
  • Secondary school workshop 11.30am-1pm for year 7 and 8 lead by ‘Round Midnight’ who specialise in Theatre in Education and TV. 60 places available. Please contact elly@ellybarnes to book your places http://www.roundmidnight.org.uk/
  • Music showcase 6.30-7.30pm performances from students, teachers and professional artists with a presentation to our Birmingham ‘Educate and Celebrate’ best practice schools
